Ag Grid Copy & Paste into Multiple Cells

Is there a way to copy and paste multiple cells from Excel into Ag Grid? I am able to do it from Ag Grid into Excel, but not from Excel into Ag Grid.

This would be a useful feature. Can you check if it is possible with AG Grid (without NiceGUI)?
It might be an Enterprise feature: https://www.ag-grid.com/javascript-data-grid/clipboard/
But NiceGUI ships with AG Grid Community.

You are correct. That is an enterprise feature. Do you know of another tool similar to AG Grid that can be used instead?

Generally the Excel (thus Windows) clipboard format is very complex and hard to deal with. I totally see how it is made into AG Grid Enterprise feature, since they'd probably need to hire a team of engineers dedicated solely to this feature.

As an alternative, if you don't mind, you can have the user isolate the cells that they want to put into NiceGUI into a sheet of its own, export CSV, and Python can parse CSV.

This seems like a more elegant solution, as it can work with other data sources down the line too.

That's what i am doing now, but the workflow seems inefficient as the user has to:

1. convert/download AG Grid to .csv file
2. copy/paste desired data in Excel
3. Save and reupload into AG Grid

vs just copy/pasting directing into AG Grid.

Well using AG Grid Enterprise may be the only way out if you'd like smooth operation with AG Grid. https://github.com/xaptronic/nicegui-aggrid-enterprise

But it's super costly!

Otherwise, perhaps we would have to move away from AG Grid. I'd imagine if it is a feature only available in Enterprise, it would be a super uphill fight to get it somehow working in Community.

Has anyone found a low-cost alternative?

I’m building a small internal app that needs a simple way to copy data from a table and paste it into a NiceGUI data grid for processing. The table always has a fixed number of columns but can have any number of rows.

i was just thinking, but it might be possible to copy and paste the data as a text field, and have that parsed and added to an AG grid.

Best I could come up so far is to process the paste data using the clipboard then load to the grid. It may just work enough for what I need.
