[6.x] Bard Fullscreen overlay not covering entire screen in release build

Bug description

When opening fullscreen mode in a Bard Field, the overlay does not cover the entire screen, and parts of the Control Panel remain visible in the background. This only happens in the release build. It seems possibly related to #12096.
