How to use fingerprinting to not run the task twice?

Hello world. I'm trying to build a task and having a go at fingerprinting but it seems I don't understand something yet.

tasks:

  check-sources:
    sources:
      - sources.txt
    generates:
      - test.txt
    cmds:
      - cat sources.txt > test.txt
      - sleep 10

and then I run it:

$ task check-sources
task: [check-sources] cat sources.txt > test.txt
task: [check-sources] sleep 10
$ task --status=true check-sources
task: Task "check-sources" is not up-to-date

Why is the task not up to date? What am I doing wrong?

It seems there is a bug when using paths with spaces. I debugged task and found it's actually a bug: #2321
