OTA firmware update with Teensy 4.1 runs two times

I found use for the built in OTA firmware update on one of my projects with Teensy 4.1 and decided to test it out.
I used the wizard to generate the test code with the default dashboard and it works perfectly but when I disable the web UI login, recompile the code and run the OTA firmware update, after the file is uploaded and the controller restarts, as soon as the network interface is up the download starts again and the controller reboots.
This has been tested several times and the only way to avoid the second download while the UI login is disabled is to refresh or close the page right after first download.
I tested the same on ESP32 and found no issues there.

What do you mean by "the download starts again" ? A web server can't pull a file by itself and it had just rebooted.
Your browser is somehow retrying that and the fact that you disabled the login allows it to make it possible.
The ESP32 uses the ESP-IDF and that is totally different scheme.
