Metadata Phase 2: Table Description Refinements

Description

All the tables use the new structured description metadata format; now it's time to raise the floor on the quality of the descriptions!

Motivation

• We want to fix some of the broken things we noticed during the phase 1 migration
• We want our high-priority tables to have high-quality description information
• We want other team members and community members to feel confident adding or updating table descriptions

Scope

• How do we know when we are done? --> MVP is done!
• What is out of scope? --> Systematically reviewing descriptions for accuracy, and the other non-MVP Hard tasks in the scoping sheet.

Tasks

• Add detail to descriptions that are lacking (per-table; priority tables only)
• Explain why a table has no primary key (per-table; priority tables only)
• Add option to indicate when a table is heavily modified by us (code support)
• Add usage warning to distinguish harvested tables from other multi-source tables (code support + 8 tables)
• Document how to update table descriptions
• Improve CSS for headers and definition lists to support new structured table descriptions eel-hole#43
