Display a small warning that the file has been deleted

A file is open in ecode, and I used Windows Explorer to delete it (not move to Recycle Bin), but ecode doesn't notify me about that. It still shows the original content of the file, like nothing has happened. Can you reproduce this?

That's a different case / problem. Yes I can reproduce it because it's intentional, I could display a small warning that the file has been deleted but you shouldn't lose the documents buffer if the file has been deleted on disk, the same way you can edit a new file in buffer before saving it on disk. Maybe file name in tab can change its color or something like that.

@SpartanJ The file being deleted is just one case. What if it's being moved to a new location or being renamed?

If it's me, I will simply note that the file being modified by an external process, mark the document tab as being modified, and ask if the user want to reload (reload in the case is creating a new empty unsaved document).

If the location is within the project folder scope it will be handled automatically by the editor, otherwise if it's outside the folder it will be considered deleted (so it will be handled by this new feature).

This is already handled by the editor, is automatically detected, you can try it out.

ecode already supports this. Behavior is user-configurable.

Settings -> Document -> Global Settings -> Auto-Reload on Disk Change

If enabled it will auto-reload will do that if the file hasn't being modified yet, otherwise it will ask you what to do. If disabled it will always notify you and ask you what to do.
